As part of the service SSD offers, Dave still acts as an Interim Manager / Consultant. With over thirty years director and senior management experience, heading many council departments plus 7 large-scale DSO's, he has led a wide array of projects. Dave alone has headed / secured over £95M savings from these projects while significantly improving services. Recent engagements include:
Every project and Transformation Dave has led has out-performed initial requirements, while creating, rather than reducing jobs. Dave is a degree qualified civil engineer who has also been educated in change management techniques, personnel & HR, ICT and contract law. He holds an NVQ5 in Management. He is rated as a Master Black-belt in Lean and Systems Thinking, is a pro-bono Director of the Deming Alliance, a full member of the Institute of Management, and an affiliate of the Institution of Waste Management. Dave is also a former visiting lecturer at Greenwich University on Management and Soil Mechanics. In addition Dave has authored three books on Lean and Systems Thinking for the public and service sectors, developing Visualising Transformation, which has continuously improved into VT-Achieving More for Less. VT-AMfL also underpins the VT-CAUSAL training programme, building on the previous three-day course attended by 1,000+ delegates. VT-AMfL also underpins the Total Transport developments, unique to SSD. |
Consultant.
Daniel has worked in Change and Transformation for 8 years as a Consultant, Business Analyst and Project Manager. He has led on several transformation projects, enabling significant developments and growth for all involved parties, in addition to achieving significant cost savings and capacity improvements. As a Business Analyst, Daniel has developed better access to information enabling organisations to make better Tactical Management decisions, engaged and enabled staff to redesign ‘Ways of Working’ to be significantly better, identified areas of change which has improved capacity while delivering financial savings. Daniel has worked within Local Government areas to transform service delivery, improved customer relations and staff working. These areas include: Passenger Transport, Parking Services, Waste and Recycling Services, Financial Services, Street Scene and Back Office/Business Support Teams. He has also worked for a number NHS trusts, working within Project Management Offices [PMO] and for Transformation Services on a number of varied projects, including leading on: patient pathway redesign for therapy services, profiling estates, developing nursing dashboards to reduce agency working and reviewing outpatient activity. He has also worked within a waste services contractor, helping with a new contract transitioning, linking various software packages for the first time, establishing a new call centre, to achieve best in Britain performances. As a result of very positive results, many of his assignments have had extensions of contract. |
Consultant.
Stefan is an experienced Consultant, Business Analyst [BA], able to find great information within masses of raw data with the ability to visually present in an understandable way. He also has a degree in Multimedia Technology and considerable management experience within a FTSE 100 retail organisation in the UK. Within his last 4 BA roles within the public sector (NHS and Local Government) the quality of the work he has produced has led to multiple extensions for every contract! He has supported many diverse programmes and projects, including: Passenger Transport, Operating Theatre Utilisation, Children's & Adults Social Care, Community Care Coordination, SEN, Brokerage, Prevent, Parking, Fleet, Highways, Clinical Waste and Facilities Management. Recent work has included the design of whole systems work patterns, with complex reports, supported by GIS illustrations of work demands, against optimal supply solutions, enabling faster decisions and mobilisation. |
Company Secretary.
Kay also acts as an Administrator for a public sector organisation. Kay has an NVQ3 qualification in customer services and has qualifications in I.T. and word processing. |
Stephen GoodConsultant.
Stephen has worked with us for some while for Kent County Council, leading a Passenger Transport review . He has previously headed PT in LB Hounslow for the West London Alliance covering three boroughs, and been a senior PT Officer for Essex County Council. He is now heading Passenger Transport for the London Borough of Lewisham. |
